In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in the interest of the health and wellbeing of all in the Lurie Children’s family, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Winter Wishes cocktail party, traditionally held at the Casino Club. Instead, we will be hosting a drive-in movie experience from December 3-6. Lurie Children's is continuing to work closely with the Illinois and Chicago Departments of Public Health to follow their guidelines as they evolve. We hope you can join us!
Then, on January 27, 2021, corporate sponsors will have the opportunity to participate, with our partners from the Patrick M. Magoon Institute for Healthy Communities, in a virtual career day for alumni of the Lurie Children’s Workforce Education programs.

Gates open an hour before movie show time.
The Founders’ Board will host four evenings of a drive-in movie experience to gather from the safety of your cars while enjoying a holiday movie with close friends and family. This family-friendly event provides participants with the ability to kick-off the season in a safe and fun way!

Impact
Proceeds from this year’s event will support the Founders’ Board’s newest funding commitment: a $5 million gift to support the Patrick M. Magoon Institute for Healthy Communities. The funds raised align directly with the Magoon Institute’s highest priorities: helping children thrive in the communities where they live, love, learn and play.
Additionally, sponsors of Winter Wishes will be invited to partner with the Magoon Institute team in hosting a virtual career day for alumni of the Lurie Children’s Workforce Education programs. These programs provide high school and college students with work-based experiences throughout the hospital and career guidance so that they can understand the requirements and rewards of being a healthcare professional. These mentorships from leaders in the Chicago corporate community will help out the City’s teens and youth on paths to productive, fulfilling careers.
