This year’s Winter Wishes benefits the Patrick M. Magoon Institute for Healthy Communities and Lurie Children’s first clinic and community space in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. The Wish List includes items and services that will advance health equity on Chicago’s West Side and support the development of Stone CDC/Lurie Children’s Clinic-Community Hub.
Your gift can support:
Behavioral Health Services
Provide behavioral health services, the #1 identified health need in a recent Chicago survey, in the new Austin Clinic-Community Hub.
Building an Inclusive Environment
Contribute to a facilities fund to bring the Austin Clinic-Community Hub to life. Your support can help purchase artwork, furnishings and other elements that will help fulfill the vision for a vibrant and inclusive space.
Youth Support Programming
Support three weeks of programming, including academic support, counseling, workforce development and life skills for one youth involved in the justice system.
Reach Out and Read Books
Provide books to 250 patients aged 0 to 5 to encourage early childhood literacy through Lurie Children's Reach Out and Read program.
Preventative Health Services
Provide a student with preventive health care—including school physicals and vaccinations—through Lurie Children’s mobile health unit.
Emergency Infant Supplies
Provide a month of emergency baby supplies and diapers to a family experiencing hardship.
Help Where It’s Needed Most
Your gift will support the Founders’ Board commitment to the Patrick M. Magoon Institute for Healthy Communities and support the greatest needs of Lurie Children’s community-focused initiatives.
